It's a ..... Sneeze! (bless you)

Just wanted to post even though it is a little late. Heidi and I went in Monday to see our first live photos. It was a great time to have snow all over the ground and seeing our first child together on a little screen moving it's hand by it's nose and hearing a healthy heartbeat. We are getting very excited and continue to pray for healthy baby. No new cravings, but I did eat applesauce from a KFC container making fellow workers think I was the one with weird cravings! (since it DID look like gravy).
We'll post more as things progress.

take two..

Well, Heidi mentioned her craving of Jamba Juice, but she neglected to tell you he first. Let me spell it out for you.

Taco Bell. We returned home from Kansas Christmas Eve night (Christmas Day by th time we got home) and earlier that day she had ben battling the flu so the only cravings from her was sleep. When we got home and she was feeling better, there was the sudden urge for a "bean burrito with no onions". Of course being the wonderful husband I am, I set out a 1:00am to find a Taco Bell. I am sure you are already aware, but even though Taco bell is open late, they are not open late on Christmas morning. I stopped by the only 2 places open; an Arco gas station and a 7Eleven. The Arco had no burritos, just 2 hispanic workers. Close, but no burrito. 7Eleven had one bean and cheese burrito. I paid my $2.50 and brought home the most disgusting thing she had ever tasted. Lucky me, I finished the rest. (because you don't just drop $2.50 and the let it go to waste).

Well, our next adventure was just last week. Below is the video of her most recent craving. pregnant and non-pregnant moms alike, weigh in on this. What was your weirdest?

I'll be updating our home progress with 3 R's later tonight or tomorrow. until then, take a look at this...

First Craving!

I think I had my first official prego craving....last night, around 8:50 pm, I was watching the last few bits of American Idol (no, I'm not hooked; just intrigued) when at the commercial break, there was this yummy looking commercial advertising Simply Pure Orange Juice. Ohmygoodness, it looked so refreshing...so, not more than 5 seconds later, I was telling Tim that I needed something Orange...like Orange Julius or something of the like. He pulled out a coupon for a free Jamba Juice that just opened down the street from us. I deliberated for about 30 seconds before I zipped up my coat, and ran out the door in my pajamas, with a twinkle in my eye, before they closed at 9. Upon arrival, (I had like 3 minutes to spare...) I ordered an Orange Dream Machine with a multi vitamin boost. Yumo! It was excellent!

On another note....I have thoroughly enjoyed everyone's thoughts regarding whether or not to find out the sex of our baby. Honestly, I go back and forth on this everyday. I always come back to wanting to be surprised at the time of birth. I share so many "mom" concerns though; it's not like I am forgetting about the annoying factor of getting gender neutral clothing at baby showers, or not knowing what color curtains to hang in the babies room. I think about all of these big and small details all the time! Tim goes back and forth on this too; however, I don't think he cares about the color curtains nearly as much as I do! :) Though, he has offered to make them for me. :) :) I love surprises. Absolutely love them. I know there will be so many surprises after the baby is born, even if we find out the gender prior. However, the thrill for Tim and I to be one of the first to find out after 9 long months is almost enough to keep us guessing. So...for now, I rest with my decision. Baby Thomas will be unknown to us until this summer. And, about those curtains....I will have all the time in the world to decorate babies room after he/she's here, right? ;)

This is just a glimpse into what we've been up to lately....the past two weeks Tim and our good friend, McKenzie have been remodeling our bathroom. Basically, new toilet, new tile flooring, new surround around the tub, and new fixtures in the shower. It's been craziness, let me tell you! Dust, no running water, no shower....only baths for right now, until we finish the tiling in our surround...oh yeah, and a crazy neighbor yelling at us for making too much noise at 7:30 at night. Hmm.

Ok, so its been a while...

Yes, it has been a while. December and these first few days of January have really been full. From finishing school, to traveling to Kansas to remodeling the bathroom to picking out baby names to being sick, to.. Oh, yeah. Baby names. I suppose we have been a little busy!

So for those who haven't heard, the cat is out of the bag. We're pregnant! We have known since a few days before leaving for Kansas, and had a few appointments to see health and such before hopping on a plane for Christmas in the Midwest. All is well except for momma's health. They call it morning sickness, but personally, I think it is a stupid name. Heidi is sick in the morning alright, but sometimes also in the evening, and the afternoon, and at night... Preggie Pops helped for a while, but as baby continues to grow, and hormones continue to change, what worked one day doesn't work today, or even 5 minutes later!

We are super excited and have been talking names. We don't plan on sharing any of them yet at this time. We also were once thinking we would find out the sex, but this is the only time in our baby's life that it is gender neutral. The rest of it's life it will be "boy" or "girl". The mystery of this is quite amazing and we are now probably not going to find out gender until our little one enters the world. We'll let God hold it in his hands and trust Him for health and not knowing the gender will be a small reminder of trusting our creator.

Well, Here is the first photo taken when we were about 5 weeks along. You cannot see much, but you can tell we are expecting. The bun is in the oven and the dough is rising!

So, now that the news is out, Any guesses? I expect to hear all weigh in on their guesses: gender, weight, time... it will be fun to hear your thoughts.

Well, plenty more to share, but I need to turn the light off cause mommy Heidi needs her rest.
